The Daffodil Society Mid Southern Group Spring Show was held at Cobham Village Hall in Cobham, Surrey, on Easter Sunday – Sunday 27th March 2016.  This is a popular and highly esteemed daffodil show, with a very high caliber of quality entries.  The show was judged by Richard Hilson and Robin Couchman.  Robin Couchman judged class 55, the first leg of The Daffodil Society Southern Championship, as Richard Hilson was judging the other show classes, Robin was able to enter his own daffodils into the show, barring of course class 55.

This year a new class (class 29) was introduced for miniature daffodils, which was great to see.  At this daffodil show there are many different classes, including open classes, where you don’t need to be a member of the Mid Southern Group to enter; there are open classes for novices, as well as for experienced exhibitors.

The Mid Southern Group was founded in 1989, it’s a friendly and welcoming group.  If you’re interested in daffodils and are thinking about joining The Daffodil Society, here’s a link to their website and to the Mid Southern Group’s webpage.
