2017 Specialist Plant Fairs, Festivals, Sales, and Swaps

There are many local plant sales, fetes, and opportunities to buy wonderful, locally grown plants at fantastic prices, or even to swap for free!  Great quality, rare, hard to find, special, and unusual plants can be found at the specialist plant fairs and other events that I have listed below.

In this 2017 calendar of specialist plant fairs, sales, swaps, and other lovely events where you can buy plants, I have included large plant sales, such as the plant sale at the Loseley Park Spring Show, large events, such as the Chilli Fiesta at West Dean Gardens, much smaller plant sales organised by local groups, and plant societies, and everything in between!  Many of the sales listed below benefit local organisations or charities.

Each local swap or sale’s success is dependent on others growing and delivering plants on the day, nothing is guaranteed!  If you have any plants or seeds to donate, I am sure the charitable organisations listed below would be most grateful for your support.  It is worth bringing cash with you to the following events, as not all of these events or stalls at the events are able to accept card payments.

  1. Is there any possibility that the name of the COUNTY could be included in the addresses of the venues? Not all potential visitors are natives who understand the postcodes!
The county names give a visitor a chance to look at a map and see what part of the country they are in, at least. Particularly important if the visitor is on a leisurely romp through the country.

    1. Thank you for your suggestion Deirdre. I always try to include as complete an address and details as I am able to, for each event that I add to this calendar – I usually spend quite a while searching for more details for the events I add, to give as much information as possible to my readers. I am sorry if you found the information lacking on this occasion. Best wishes for the weekend. Beth
