PumpkinBeth: What’s your favourite part of the garden?

Adam Frost: You know what, there’s a view from the front of the garden, and all the Taxus domes literally bounce their way up the garden, so you need to see the garden from the front.  The domes go boom-boom-boom-boom-boom all the way through the borders and they sit and they finish in the lawn, so I love that view.

PumpkinBeth: Do you have a favourite plant?

Adam Frost: To be fair, there’s there’s always one plant that works really well, and I think the Geums, they’ve worked really well in this garden, they’ve picked up the colour of the Cedar and they’ve bounced away, there’s always that one plant that holds everything together.

PumpkinBeth: Yes, they really helped you yesterday when it was gloomy, the Geums sung out.

Adam Frost:  Yes, they sung out. It didn’t help my bones, I got soaked in the morning, and I couldn’t get warm.

PumpkinBeth: Did Homebase supply all your plants?

Adam Frost: No, the plants came from Kelways, Hardy’s Cottage  so Rosie Hardy supplied some of the plants, and then the shrubs, some were from Deepdale and some were from Majestic.

I loved this area at the back of the Homebase Garden, it felt restful and tranquil.

PumpkinBeth: I love the area at the very back of your garden with the ferns, Hostas and Aquilegia, it’s so different from the rest of your garden and so unexpected.  I hope all the visitors see this hidden part of your garden.

Adam Frost: There’s a different charm, a surprise I suppose.

PumpkinBeth: Whose is your favourite garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show?

Adam Frost: I haven’t been anywhere!  Literally since the 28th April, I haven’t seen anything.  Dan Pearson’s garden will be a piece of work, I’ve seen that going in and out.
