John O’Conner created a special commission for The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital – a bronze sculpture entitled ‘Joy’, a child like figure, which stands on a plinth at the top of the water canal that runs through the Show Garden. This sculpture was created to show the effervescence of childhood and the joy of life. The planting in The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital is soft and evocative, with a relaxed woodland feel. This garden is designed to be a relaxing space, where parents of great Ormond Street patients can take time out to unwind and take in the calm, relaxed feel of the garden.
