Every year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, you’ll find a wealth of plant knowledge and expertise inside the Great Pavilion, where specialist nurseries, expert growers, and plants people, come together from all over the world, to showcase some of the special plants they grow and love.
Here’s a look at some of the nurseries and exhibits that were inside The Great Pavilion, at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016…….
Craig House Cacti

Stan Griffin and Vicki Newman are passionate, enthusiastic cacti growers, they are based in West Bromwich, in the West Midlands. Both Stan and Vicki give talks and advice on growing cacti, travelling up and down the country to spread their love of cacti to both new and experienced growers. Walkers Bulbs at Taylors

Downderry Nursery

Downderry Nursery is an award winning, specialist lavender nursery, based in Tonbridge, in Kent. Downderry Nursery propagate 95% of the plants they sell. Millais Nurseries

David Millais is a world expert on Rhododendrons and Azaleas. David is Chairman of the RHS Rhododendron, Camellia, and Magnolia Group, his interest in these evocative plants was established at a young age, as David descends from an acclaimed horticultural family, many of his relations were passionate about Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Hogarth Hostas

J. S. Pennings de Bilt

The scent of these colourful Hyacinths perfumed the air, as I visited the J. S. Pennings de Bilt’s exhibit in The Great Pavilion at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016. J. S. Jacques Amand International

I look forward to seeing the wonderful Nesta from Jacques Amand at every show I visit. Jacques Amand International are a family run, award winning specialist nursery based in Stanmore, in Middlesex. Jacques Amand International are world experts on rare bulbs, you’ll find so many wonderful plants at their nursery. Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants

Rosy Hardy from Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants has had a busy time of late. At this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Rosy designed The Brewin Dolphin Garden – Forever Freefolk, and Rosy also designed the planting on Hardy Cottage Garden Plants’ own exhibit in The Great Pavilion. Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants are a family run nursery, based in Freefolk, in Whitchurch, Hampshire. Rosy and Rob Hardy practice the ‘right plant for the right place’ mantra, with their extensive plant knowledge, they are sure to be able to recommend plants that will thrive in the conditions in your garden. Vacherot & Lecoufle

Cholmondeley Castle Gardens

Lord Cholmondeley, his Head Gardener Barry Grain, and their sponsor Mornflake, were praised for their beautiful recreation of The Cholmondeley Temple Garden, in The Great Pavilion, at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016. The RHS judges awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal for their fabulous exhibit, which featured a stunning water feature and an array of beautiful plants, including the Gunnera manicata at the front of the photograph above. The Harold Porter National Botanical Garden

The Harold Porter National Botanical Garden brought their beautiful, interesting and exotic South African plants to The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016, where the RHS judges presented them with a Gold Medal. Hampshire Carnivorous Plants

Matt Soper is a carnivorous plants expert, grower and breeder, based in Horton Heath, in Hampshire. Taylors Clematis

Taylors Clematis is a family run nursery, it was established in 1982, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
