Marion Dickens and Ronnie Rawlins present Rosa ‘Charles Dickens’, a new red hybrid tea rose with excellent disease resistance, that was launched inside The Festival of Roses Marquee at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2016. Rosa ‘Charles Dickens’ was bred by Ronnie Rawlins, and selected by Marion Dickens, the great-great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens, to raise money to fund a new visitor centre, museum, and rose garden, at Gads Hill Place in Kent, where Charles Dickens spent 13 years of his life.
