This chart shows the total number of flowers normalised for the number of plants – i.e., the number of expected flowers if all seeds had germinated and survived to be planted out, grown and then flowered. After normalising, the wigwams come out on top, which demonstrates that although fewer wigwam plants survived, the rate of flowering per plant was much higher for the wigwams. This is to be expected; cordons have a lower flowing rate, but produce better quality flowers with longer stems.
