Felco Model No.12 Compact Deluxe Secateurs

I so enjoy using my Felco model No.12 Compact Deluxe secateurs.  Felco is a premium brand.  I aspired to own a pair of Felco secateurs, for what felt like an eternity, before I finally got my own pair of secateurs.  I am so grateful for my Felco secateurs.

Felco Model no. 12 Compact Deluxe Secateurs are easy to use and effective. These secateurs would make a great gift for a keen gardener.

My hands are very small, I require a small size of gloves, and even small gloves can at times be a little too large for me.  My hands are not as strong as I would like them to be, so when I purchased my secateurs, I was looking for a tool that would be easy to use, and would maximise the strength that I have.  Felco model No.12 Compact Deluxe secateurs are described as being the top of the line Felco secateurs for smaller hands.  These secateurs feature a clever rotating handle which amplifies the strength of the cut you make, without straining your hand; I can tell you that I find this mechanism to be very effective.

It’s now more than ten years since I purchased my Felco No.12 secateurs; I am still so grateful for how much easier I find pruning, when I use my Felco secateurs.

The Felco Model no. 12 Compact Deluxe Secateurs have rotating handles and an ergonomic design to ensure the secateurs are easy to use. These secateurs are ideal for all kinds of pruning work, from pruning roses, grapevines, or collecting seasonal foliage to decorate your home for Christmas.

Felco secateurs are beautifully made, they function well and will last you a lifetime, if you look after them.  In my opinion, Felco secateurs are definitely worth their price tag.  Before I was able to buy a pair of Felco secateurs, for many years, I made do with countless pairs of low-priced secateurs, I found these cheap secateurs often didn’t last a week, sometimes their life span could even be limited to just one afternoon of light pruning.

I feel so grateful for my Felco Secateurs, which I have now been using for over 10 years, without any problems whatsoever.  A pair of Felco secateurs would make a thoughtful and special, lasting gift for the gardener in your life.

My pair of Felco Model No.12 Compact Deluxe Secateurs have a wire cutting notch, which allows you to safely cut thin wire, without having to find a second pair of tools, and without the risk of damaging the cutting edge of your secateurs.  This is a very useful feature, especially if you’re using wire to train a plant to a wall for example, where you might need to use your secateurs to prune your plant as you train it, and you’ll also require a tool to cut your wire to size, as you work.

The Felco Model No.12 Compact Deluxe secateurs also have a sap grove, this is a useful component, which prevents the secateur blades from sticking when they’re used to prune very sappy plants.  The sap grove makes pruning easier and allows you to prune sappy plants without having to keep stopping unnecessarily; this feature makes cleaning your secateurs easier as well.  A pair of secateurs with a sap grove saves you time as you prune, as you don’t have to keep stopping to wipe the blades of your secateurs, as the sap is automatically channeled away.

The Felco Model no. 12 Compact Deluxe Secateurs are specially designed to be comfortable to use, even when used for prolonged periods of time. This model of secateurs is ideal for anyone with small hands, or for those of us who don't have a very strong grip. Having said this, I have lent these secateurs out to persons with large, strong hands - these folks have also enjoyed using these secateurs.
