2019 Calendar of Specialist Plant Fairs, Festivals, Sales, and Swaps

Happy new year!  Happy new plants!  Here are the dates and details of plant sales, plant festivals, plant swaps, seed swaps, and other super opportunities to buy wonderful, locally grown plants at fantastic prices; as well as details of events where you can swap plants or seeds for free!  Great quality, rare, hard to find, special, and unusual plants can be found at the specialist plant fairs and other events that I have listed for you below, in this, my 2019 Calendar of UK Specialist Plant Fairs, Festivals, Sales, and Swaps!

In this 2019 calendar of specialist plant fairs, sales, swaps, and other lovely events where you can purchase, swap, or be given plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, rhizomes, or seeds, I have included huge events: such at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, large plant fairs: such as the plant fair at the Loseley Park Spring Show, festivals: such as the Chilli Fiesta at West Dean Gardens, fetes: such as Compton fete, which is held near Guildford, in Surrey, as well as much smaller plant sales organised by local groups, and plant societies, and everything in between!  Many of the sales listed below benefit plant societies, local organisations, or charities.

Many of the small organisations that run plant and seed swaps, or plant sales are dependent on others growing and delivering plants on the day – nothing is guaranteed!  If you have any plants or seeds to donate, I am sure the charitable organisations listed below would be most grateful for your support.  It is worth bringing cash with you to all of these plant sales and events, as not all of the stalls at these events are able to accept card payments.  Don’t forget to bring enough bags with you to carry your purchases away!

If I have missed your event where plants, seeds, bulbs, corms, tubers, or rhizomes, will be sold, swapped or given, contact me with the full details, and I will add your event to my calendar.

Please note: to make it easier for you to find events, I have created a page divider, which you’ll find right at the very top of this page.  From here, you can click on the red text for each month of the year, to quickly find all of the specialist plant fairs, festivals, sales, and swaps, that are held during the particular month you wish to search.  You’ll find an upwards facing arrow on the right hand side of the page.  Clicking on this arrow will deliver you back up to the top of the page, to save you scrolling!

So, without further ado, here are the dates and details for your diaries!
