Armed Forces Day 2019

Armed Forces Day is a special day, it was created to show appreciation and recognition for those serving in the Armed Forces, as well as Veterans, and Service Families.  Events of all kinds will be held up and down the country to celebrate Armed Forces Day 2019.  In this article, I’ve focused on the gardens with special offers for Armed Forces Day 2019.

This year, Armed Forces Day is on Saturday 29th June 2019.

Gardens with Special Offers for Armed Forces Day 2019

These gardens are celebrating Armed Forces Day with some lovely special offers for those serving in our Armed Forces and their families, and Army Veterans.

On Saturday 29th June 2019, from 11am until 3pm, there’s an Armed Forces Day Celebration in Stanley Park, West Park Drive, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY3 9AQ.  This family fun day will feature a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for all the family.  There’s canoeing and boating on Stanley Park lake, five aside football, bowling, crochet, hoopla, hopscotch, and games outdoors.  While inside, there’s board games, Jenga, chess, and entry to the high ropes centre.  Veterans and serving personnel can enjoy a free afternoon tea, there’s an exhibition of wartime Blackpool, with films will be shown in the visitor centre.  Live bands will perform at Stanley Park Bandstand, throughout the day.  For all the details, please click here.

On Saturday 29th June 2019The Big Sheep, Abbotsham, Bideford, Devon, EX39 5AP, is offering free entry to all those serving in the Armed Forces.  This is a fabulous offer as the free entry is extended to the immediate family – the spouses and children of anyone serving in the Armed Forces.  Spouses can still enjoy a free day out, even if their partner is serving overseas.  Veterans also enjoy free entry on this special day.  Please show ID on arrival, for all the details, please click here.

On Saturday 29th June 2019 and Sunday 30th June 2019, from 9am until 5pm, the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Road, Alrewas, Staffordshire, DE13 7AR, are celebrating Armed Forces Day with a special weekend, set up to recognise the work of the Armed Forces.  There’s free entry for those working in the Armed Forces and their families.  For details of this event’s activities and entertainment, and all the details, please click here.
