The original pond that was here when we moved in had three bamboo plants planted in the soil around the pond. Suckers from these bamboos have been popping up all over the garden! I’ve been anxious to ensure that we remove every single part of these bamboo suckers before we line the pond. This type of bamboo has such vigorous growth that it can grow up through the pond and puncture the pond liner. Thankfully the plants you see springing up here are all standard weeds.
