This Zoom talk takes place at 2.30pm on Saturday 10th February 2024. In this lecture (via Zoom), plant, garden and social historian Advolly Richmond traces the social history of indoor plants from ancient Japan through to the present day. She will look at the social factors and events which played a part in the changing fashions as new plants and ideas arrived and the talk will also highlight the complicated relationship, we all have with them today.

Snowdrops (all grown in peat-free compost) will be for sale and tea, coffee, and cake will be available. The garden is 12 miles north west of Taunton, on the B3188 between Wiveliscombe and Watchet. One acre garden with drifts of Snowdrops in grass and a growing collection of over 350 snowdrop named varieties.
