Refreshments will be served and tour of the garden will also be available. The garden is on a one acre plot. There will be plenty of plants available to purchase, including Achillea and plants for pollinators and culinary & medicinal herbs.

The garden is situated on fell-side overlooking Windermere. The plants at Holehird provide year-round interest and the garden is home to 6 National Plant Collections, plus collections of hydrangeas and roses.

Open day to visit the National Plant Collection of Aeonium species & interspecific hybrids on Sunday 7th July 2024, open between 10.30am and12.30pm and then open in the afternoon from 1.30pm until 4.30pm at 8 Torwood Gardens, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 8PD. An opportunity to view this National Collection in a small, semi-urban garden. Free entry, parking in the street and plant sales (cash only) will be available.

Open weekend to see the National Plant Collection of Mentha on Saturday 6th July 2024 and Sunday 7th July 2024 at Fullersmoor Cottage, Broxton, Cheshire, CH3 9JY. The open day, coincides with mint’s flowering time. The National Collection holder will be on hand to suggest mints for particular purposes and to make recommendations based on interest. 9cm pots are for sale at a discounted price for attendees.

The open day to see the National Plant Collections hardy Dryopteris and hardy Polystichum is from 10am until 4pm on Sunday 9th June 2024 at Canonteign Falls, Near Exeter, Devon, EX6 7RH. A wonderful opportunity for visitors to view the National Collection of Hardy Ferns; Dryopteris and Polystichum. The day will showcase these ferns at their best. Julian Reed, fern specialist and member of the British Pteridological Society, will be holding talks in the Victorian Fern Garden (online pre-booking required); and plants will be on sale.
