On Sunday 19th October 2024 from 10am until 5pm at Beaufort, Telford, Shropshire, West Midlands, TF2 7BP. This is a chance see the Sarracenia at their best. The collection has more than 3,500 plants in the main collection greenhouse and there’s a separate greenhouse with plants for sale. The Dionaea (venus flytrap) collection has it’s own greenhouse with many hundred of plants.
From 10am until 12 noon on Wednesday 16th October 2024 – Open day to see the National Plant Collection of Apples – Malus domestica (cvs. bred & grown in Hampshire & Isle of Wight pre 1960). Sparsholt College, Winchester, Hampshire, SO21 2NF. There will be apples to view, taste and buy. Along with plants propagated and grown by horticultural students. Free car parking and refreshments are available on the college campus.
