Athelhampton House, Athelhampton, Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 7LG will be opening from 10am until 5pm on Friday 20th March 2026 for the NGS. The award-winning gardens at Athelhampton date from 1891. The Great Court features 12 giant yew topiary pyramids and is overlooked by two terraced pavilions. This glorious Grade I architectural garden is full of vistas with spectacular planting, ponds with fountains and the River Piddle flowing past. Visitors have the opportunity to purchase plants at this opening. Directions: Between Poole & Dorchester just off the A35. 5m E of Dorchester, well signed off A35 trunk road at Puddletown.
