Bridport & District Gardening Club Harvest Show is on from 12 noon until 3pm on Saturday 12th September 2026 at United Church Hall, East Street, Bridport, Dorset, DT6. This is an open show – you don’t need to be a member to enter. Presentation of trophies at 3pm. Light refreshments and raffle prizes, all donated by Club Members. You don’t have to be a member to enter this show, as all the classes are ‘open’. There are traditional horticulture classes plus: Classes for cooking, knitting, crochet or sewing. Classes for painting, arrange flowers, making things, and recycling things. The photography classes are very popular. There is probably a class for you but if you think there isn’t, let this group know – they would love to hear from you. There will be a Charity Plant Stall outside the hall from 9am until 12.30pm. Members are invited to contribute plants and other saleable garden equipment. The Plant Stalls have raised hundreds of pounds for local charities. Donations for the stall can be dropped off at the hall on the Friday afternoon before the show, from 2pm – 4pm, or early on the Saturday morning. Plant offerings can be varied – ideas include anything from seedlings (floral or vegetable), rooted cuttings, herbs, annuals, biannual or perennials but should be of “carrying away size”. It would be very helpful if plants could be named – we usually end up with some “mystery” items which cause much hilarity and head scratching! We can also sell small garden tools as long as they have been cleaned and are in working order.
