Laundry Cottage, Culdrain, Gartly, Huntly, Scotland, AB54 4PY, is opening by prior arrangement during January, February and March for Scotland’s Garden Scheme. Laundry Cottage has an informal cottage-style garden by the River Bogie; the garden extends to about one and a half acres. Two contrasting steep slopes make up the wilder parts. The more intensively gardened area around the cottage includes a wide variety of herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees, an orchard area and fruit and vegetable plots, making a garden of year-round interest with snowdrops usually blooming in February and March.
