On Wednesday 4th February 2026, Shirley Carman-Martin is opening her garden by appointment from 10.30am until 3.30pm, for the National Garden Scheme at 5 Whitemans Close, Cuckfield, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH17 5DE. Visitors can admire 150 different varieties of snowdrops that have been lovingly grown in this small, sheltered garden. Winter flowering shrubs, including Daphne bholua, compliment the garden’s snowdrops. Admission is £9 to include refreshments. Snowdrops are offered for sale. NB. 5 Whitemans Close is 1m N of Cuckfield, on the B2036 signed Balcombe. Whitemans Close is 250yds from roundabout on the left-hand side. Parking in the Close is for disabled only.
