Suffolk Wildlife Trust Wildlife Live Webinar – Garden Bugs with Dr Ian Bedford

Date: Monday 24 January 2022

Monday 24th January 2022 from 7pm until 8.30pm.

What are the good and bad garden bugs we often find in our gardens and what should we do with them? What do we do when foreign pests such as the Spanish slug invade our gardens?

Dr Bedford is an entomologist, who has been fascinated by bugs since a child. He studied the butterflies of the South Downs in his youth and went on to work in Research Entomology and ran the Entomology Department at the John Innes Centre in Norwich for 42 years. After retirement, he went on to work as an independent entomologist, offering advice to companies developing safer plant protection products and encouraging wildlife-friendly gardening. He delivers numerous bug-related presentations and is the ‘go to’ entomologist for many broadcasting outlets.
