RSK Online Webinar: eDNA: Water monitoring to support nutrient neutrality for large-scale housing developments

Date: Tuesday 8 March 2022

Tuesday 8th March 2022 from 12.30pm until 1.15pm GMT.

LEAP Environmental, an RSK company, is currently providing water monitoring and consultancy support for a number of large-scale housing development schemes in South-East England. We are employing technical solutions to help our clients sustainably manage treated effluents across a range of environmental settings and constraints, including trying to achieve ‘nutrient neutrality’, i.e., the position where the nutrients from all surface water runoff and wastewater generated by the development are no greater than the existing nutrients on the site.

This webinar explores how water monitoring is used to support risk assessments and environmental permit applications. It also looks at the legacy of poor wastewater management on new developments and how this is investigated and remediated.

Marc Perry (BEng, CGeol, FGS, RSoBRA) is a Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer at the Kent office of LEAP Environmental. He has over 20 years’ industry experience within the environmental, site investigation and risk assessment sector, including ten years at the Environment Agency, working within the groundwater and contaminated land teams, permitting of landfills and industry and also as part of the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project team. Marc is a Chartered Geologist, a member of SoBRA and is also a Qualified Person under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste: Code of Practice scheme. He leads on controlled waters risk assessments within LEAP and also provides planning support on contamination issues for a number of local authorities.  For all the details and to book your place, please click here.
