This session is an essential first step for anybody wishing to become a Snakes in the Heather volunteer Reptile Surveyor. Due to the strict legal protection of some species you may see on this project, all Snakes in the Heather project survey volunteers must be appropriately licenced to survey. ARC is able to accredit surveyors who have an appropriate level of knowledge and field skills to its organisational protected species survey licence. Beyond this introductory training we offer Snakes in the Heather project volunteers additional field based training and survey mentoring (arranged in small groups or on a one-to-one basis).  For all the details and to book your place, please click here.
