Wildlife Trusts Online Talk: Butterfly Identification

Date: Wednesday 23 February 2022

Wednesday 23rd February 2022 from 7pm until 8.30pm.

Can you tell an orange tip from a red admiral? Can’t tell a marbled white from a speckled wood? Do you just want to brush up on your skipper skills?  Join Andy Wood and Dave Willis and learn how to identify butterflies in the field. We will cover all of Hertfordshire’s common species and place them into an ecological context.

This is essential training if you are looking to join the butterfly survey team at King’s Meads, but should have plenty for the enthusiast, and brings a touch of summer colour into February!  If you are interested in taking butterfly identification and surveying further, there will be an opportunity to join us later for a practical session at King’s Meads Nature Reserve, Ware. Details to follow.

Aimed at adults but all ages welcome.  Please note if you are unable to join us live, you can still register to receive a “replay” link after the event and watch the presentation in your own time.  For all the details and to book your place, please click here.
