Join us for an online talk delivered by Jon Walker. Jon is a Senior Research Scientist within the College of Science at Swansea University. His research has focused on peatlands for the last 16 years ago with him particularly passionate and enthusiastic about research that supports the development of evidenced-based policy and decision-making. His current roles include: principle investigator on research investigating the impact and of commercial forestry on peatlands; Research Fellow working to support the development of peatland policy, strategy and practice in Wales through synthesis and translation of research into operational formats for Welsh peatland decision-makers; and Project Director on research into Green Infrastructure that aims to better ensure GI planning and management decisions are informed by appropriate, and available, evidence, with initial focus on South Wales.
