Runnymede, Windsor Road, Surrey, SL4 2JL. National Trust. Runnymede is the location where King John sealed the Magna Carta over 800 years ago, on 15th June 1215.  Take in the carpets of bluebells, but make sure you take time to visit the Ankerwycke yew, the National Trust’s oldest tree – it is estimated to be 2,500 years old!
