Chatelherault Garden Opening

12 Chatelherault Avenue (The Good Life Garden), Cambuslang, Glasgow, Scotland, G72 8BJ.  12 Chatelherault Avenue Garden will be opening from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday 12th June 2022 for Scotland’s Gardens Scheme.  At the front of the property visitors can walk through a gravel garden and a white scented woodland garden. Go through the gate to the back and discover a garden where the owners grow as many different edibles as possible: herbs, soft fruit, vegetable beds, fruit arches, and edible hedging. Lots of research has revealed more unusual edibles, such as fuschia berries, cannas and hosta. There is also a greenhouse, a very productive grapevine, and lots of chillies! There are two ponds, one of which has a healthy population of frogs, and the other little pond in a Victorian sink (for closer wildlife inspections) There are herbaceous perennials and a cut flower bed. Lots of lovely places to sit, in the sun or the shade. Directions: M74 Glasgow to Cambuslang at junction two, exit onto Cambuslang Road/A724 towards Rutherglen, stay on Cambuslang Road/A724. Turn right onto Buchanan Drive, right onto Richmond Drive which become Chatelherault Avenue.
