KMIS Zoom Lecture: Grow Flowers, Save the Planet: How and why we should all grow and enjoy flowers throughout the season by Marianne Mogendorff & Camila Klich

Date: Monday 24 October 2022

Monday 24th October 2022 from 18.00 to 19.00 BST Marianne Mogendorff and Camila Klich – Grow Flowers, Save the Planet: How and why we should all grow and enjoy flowers throughout the season. Marianne and Camila are two self-taught flower-obsessives who run Wolves Lane Flower Company, an urban flower farm growing seasonal and sustainable flowers in north London. They left behind their lives as producers in theatre and fashion respectively in 2017 to grow flowers on a micro scale with an organic approach and cultivate and arrange blooms for weddings, events and supply other like-minded London florists. In 2018 they won British Flowers Week and have published a book ‘How To Grow The Flowers.’ Marianne and Camila will share their passion for flowers and provide their top tips on what to grow and when to grow it, whether you have a 100ft south facing garden or a postage stamp-sized patio. They will discuss their experiences in embracing seasonality and surviving the fallow period, as well as their belief that creating more tangible connections with nature will ultimately make us better custodians of the planet. At the end, Marianne and Camila will also demonstrate a simple yet effective floral design you recreate later at home! For all the details and to book your place, please click here.
