Suffolk Wildlife Trust Wildlife Live Webinar – Bats of Suffolk with Dennis and Anne Kell

Date: Thursday 3 November 2022

Thursday 3rd November 2022 from 7pm until 8.30pm GMT. Discover more about the wonderful bats of Suffolk, their nocturnal habits and where you might see them, with Dennis and Anne Kell. Suffolk Bat Group was formed in 1983 as a specialist group within Suffolk Wildlife Trust and is the county’s go to for all bat conservation related issues. Over the years, the group has carried out great work to protect, enhance and create hibernation sites, carry out surveys using bat detectors and computer software, establish bat box projects and monitor specific barns and churches. Over 2,200 records have been collected on 13 species, this includes the discovery of two species new to Suffolk and the rediscovery of one species after many years absence from the county. Dennis and Anne will introduce us to the enthralling life of bats in Suffolk, outline some of the work of the Suffolk Bat Group, and reveal details of national surveys that we can all help to support. Suffolk Bat Group is one of 90 bat groups nationwide and one of the Bat Conservation Trust Network Bat Groups. For more information and to book your place, please click here.
