Antony Woodland Garden & Woodland Walk

Date: Friday 3 March 2023

On Friday 3rd March 2023, Antony Woodland Garden & Woodland Walk will be opening from 10.30am until 5pm for the NGS at Antony Woodland Garden & Woodland Walk, Ferry Lane, Torpoint, Cornwall, PL11 3AB. The 100-acre Antony Woodland Garden is described as one of the most beautiful, but least known about gardens in Cornwall. A haven of serenity and peace to visit for walk or a picnic. Antony Woodland Garden has the most stunning array of magnolias, beautiful walks along the river’s edge, contemporary sculpture, and carpets of wild flowers. This garden is an “International Camellia Garden of Excellence”, one of only four in this country, and holds the National Collection of Camellia japonica. There is also a wonderful collection of nearly two hundred and fifty different types of magnolias and a good many other ornamental woody plants, including hydrangeas and rhododendrons. In springtime, the extensive glades and walks of the garden are covered with drifts of wild flowers, including celandines and primroses, as well as some rarer plants that flourish in these conditions. There will be a plant sale at this opening. For all the details, please click here.
