Quercus Garden Plants’ Charity Opening

Date: Sunday 2 June 2024

Quercus Garden Plants, Whitmuir Farm, West Linton, Scotland, EH46 7BB. Quercus Garden Plants are a peat-free nursery.  Quercus Garden Plants will be opening from 10am until 5pm for Scotland’s Garden Scheme on Sunday 2nd June 2024. A percentage of plant sales on this date will be donated to Scotland’s Garden Scheme and Breast Cancer Now. The 16mm narrow gauge garden railway will be running from 2pm. This small, independent nursery grows and sells a wide range of happy, healthy plants propagated from the nursery gardens. At just under two acres, these gardens were started in 2015 to show Quercus Plants’ visitors and customers what can be grown in the conditions on a North-West-facing hill at 850 feet above sea level. Explore the herb garden, scented garden, wildlife garden, and all the other inspirational smaller borders. New areas are being developed to include prairie-style planting of grasses and perennials. Many of the plants seen in the gardens are available to buy in the nursery. Directions: On the A701, four miles south of the Leadburn junction or two miles north of West Linton.
