Holmlea Garden Opening & Plant Sale is opening from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 13th June 2026 and Sunday 14th June 2026 at Holmlea, Derby Road, Ambergate, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 2EJ. Directions: on the A6 in Ambergate – between Belper & Matlock. 9m N of Derby, 6m S of Matlock. Easy access from M1 J28. On A6 next to Bridge House Cafe. Additional Parking at Anila Restaurant opposite Hurt Arms. This garden covers 1.5 acres and is constantly evolving. The planning has been undertaken with nature in mind with specific planting for wildlife and areas left for to grow naturally. The garden is managed organically and visitors who keep chickens or ducks or are thinking of doing so may be interested to see how they garden alongside their feathered friends. Roses are a feature in June, late summer perennials and salvias in September. Younger visitors will enjoy meeting the animals – goats, chickens, ducks, and geese.
