Bedworth Seed Swap

Date: Sunday 4 February 2024

Bedworth Seed Swap is on from 12.30pm until 2.30pm on Sunday 4th February 2024 at The Main Hall, St Giles Hall, Ash Green, Coventry, West Midlands, CV7 9GZ. This is a five minute drive from Junction 3 M6, and the CBS (Ricoh) Arena. There will be a wide and varied range of seed packets to choose from, the majority being open-pollinated, and many having been meticulously saved by local enthusiasts. We have also been kindly donated seeds from several seed companies – there will be something for everyone! New for 2024, we will be joined by a number of independent, but complimentary, traders to help make this the perfect event to kick off your gardening year! We’ve also enlarged the refreshments area for those seeking a sit down and a cuppa before ‘hitting the seed swap tables’ again. The Bedworth Seed Swap is a not-for-profit community group that promotes seed saving to help maintain local plant diversity and preserve rare and heritage varieties. After the seed swap event, the majority of viable seed left over is donated to other local community groups as part of our ‘Second Sowing’ initiative, aimed at working with groups that help teach and/or improve growing skills to others or groups that grow food to help feed the more vulnerable in our communities. The Plant Faerie of Coventry will be selling a range of house plants, but with an environmental twist!
Lovingly raised through propagation and division, packaged using community-donated plant pots (otherwise sure to end up in landfill), and filled with organic compost & feed, Faye & Dom present a great & varied range of affordable plants to suit everyone’s taste and budget. Admission is £1.
