Jekka’s Herb Farm Open Day

Date: Friday 7 June 2024

Jekka’s Herb Farm is opening from 9.30am until 4pm on Friday 7th June 2024 and Saturday 8th June 2024 at Jekka’s Herb Farm in South Gloucestershire (Jekka’s, Rose Cottage, Shellards Lane, Avon, Bristol, BS35 3SY). Jekka’s Open Days are a wonderful opportunity to purchase plants from Jekka’s collection of over 400 culinary & medicinal herbs (all Jekka’s plants are grown in peat-free compost). Jekka’s team will be on hand to answer all your herb related queries. You will also be able to explore Jekka’s Herbetum, see the development of Jekka’s Herb Garden and the shop will be open selling herb seeds and herbal infusions. At each of our Open Days Jekka will be sharing her award-winning knowledge of growing and looking after herbs in two talks at 11:15 am and 14:45 pm each day. Come and find out some new tips and tricks as well as some interesting herby facts. Jekka’s is located north of Bristol in the South Gloucestershire countryside, north of the M4/M5 interchange off the A38, near to the old Severn Bridge. The nearest train station is Bristol Parkway (Bristol Temple Meads is in the centre of Bristol). Taxis are available from outside Bristol Parkway but if you would like to pre-order a taxi, one service available is Andy’s Taxis in Thornbury, 01454-414002. We recommend taking your taxi driver’s number for the return journey if needed. Please note: the farm post code will take you to the other side of the motor bridge. However, if you search for ‘Jekka’s’ or ‘Jekka’s Herb Farm’ it should bring you to the correct location. For those who use “what3words” the farm is situated at: ///intervals.pioneered.surreal.
