Kew Gardens’ Orchids Quiet Sessions

Date: Monday 9 February 2026

On Monday 9th February 2026 visit Kew Gardens’ Orchids Quiet Sessions in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, The Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, Richmond, Surrey. Enjoy Orchids with reduced crowds in Kew’s quiet sessions for disabled and neurodiverse visitors. They are closing the Princess of Wales Conservatory to the public to allow visitors with special educational needs, disabilities like Autism Spectrum Condition, conditions like dementia, and/or sensory processing needs to have a more comfortable visit. During the quiet sessions, Kew will be permitting fewer people than our usual time slots and ensuring easy access to avoid potentially stressful queues. This year they celebrate China, one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth, taking inspiration from it’s heritage and design traditions. NB: Mobility scooters are not permitted in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, but Kew can provide wheelchairs for visitors to use on arrival. Please note that not all of the glasshouse is wheelchair accessible, but all locations pertaining to the orchids festival are. For more information, timings, and to buy tickets, please click here.
