Kew Gardens’ Orchids Quiet Sessions

On Friday 1st March 2024 visit Kew Gardens’ Orchids After Hours in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, The Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, Richmond, Surrey, at 11am and 11.30am. Enjoy this years Orchids festival with reduced crowds in quiet sessions for disabled and neurodiverse visitors. The Princess of Wales Conservatory will be closed to the public to allow visitors with special educational needs, disabilities like Autism Spectrum Condition, conditions like dementia, and/or sensory processing needs to have a more comfortable visit. During the quiet sessions, fewer people will be admitted (compared to the usual time slots), ensuring easy access to avoid potentially stressful queues. This year, Kew celebrates Madagascar with its stunning natural beauty and incredible biodiversity – become enchanted by an island of striking contrast, from spiny forests to succulent woodlands; and a menagerie of the most unique wildlife on Earth. NB: Mobility scooters are not permitted in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, but Kew can provide wheelchairs for visitors to use on arrival.
