Doddington Place Gardens Opening

On Wednesday 28th August 2024Doddington Place Gardens, Sittingbourne, near Faversham, Kent, ME9 0BB, will be opening their gardens from 11am until 5pm for the NGS. Doddington Place gardens extend to ten acres and are surrounded by wooded countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The landscaped gardens feature notable woodland garden, a large Edwardian rock garden with pools; a formal sunk garden, originally designed by Markham Nesfield. There are borders in a new scheme of herbaceous perennials and annuals designed by Kirsty Knight-Bruce; a brick and flint gothic folly, built 1997. Extensive lawns and avenues are framed by impressive clipped yew hedges and many fine trees with far reaching rural views. Shortlisted for the Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award 2021.
