Crayke Open Gardens

Crayke Open Gardens is on from 11am until 5pm on Sunday 7th April 2024, tickets available from the Village Hall, Crayke, near Easingwold, Yorkshire, YO61 4TZ. A diverse range of gardens will be open within the historic Conservation Area ‘Village on a Hill’, which is also part of the Howardian Hill range and within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The views are stunning! On show will be a Local History Exhibition, a route map of significant architecturally important properties, a recently discovered Saxon burial ground, a large-scale tapestry produced by residents depicting farming and village life over the years, and a recently commissioned stained-glass window created by award winning artist, Helen Whittaker, which celebrates and illustrates the life of St. Cuthbert, to whom the Crayke Church is dedicated. In addition, there will be a children’s Treasure Hunt. Dogs on leads welcome. Refreshments, hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes, available during the day. Funds raised on the day will be used to support community projects within the Village. Wildflower seeds, seed bombs and wildflower plants will be available to purchase.
