Spring Sensations at Harcourt Arboretum

On Tuesday 23rd April 2024, there’s a Spring Sensations tour from 12pm until 1pm at Harcourt Arboretum, Oxford Lodge, Peacock Gate, Oxford, OX44 9PX. Join the Wellbeing Officer on one of these spotlight tours, where you’ll focus your senses on some seasonal highlights of the Arboretum. Survey a spectacular carpet of native English bluebells among the rich environment of mature oak woodland. Savour the myriad greens of the first flush of new leaves from the 13,000 native trees in Palmer’s Leys, while taking in the vista towards Wittenham Clumps. Stroll along the historic Serpentine Ride taking in the profusion of flowering azaleas and rhododendrons. Harcourt Arboretum boasts 130 acres and features the best collection of trees in Oxfordshire, with some of the oldest redwoods in the UK.  At this time of year bluebells are in flower beneath the trees.
