Dahlia ‘Pooh – Swan Island’ is a cheerful, and very colourful, collarette dahlia.  This is a really fun plant; it’s a Dahlia that’s easy to grow and is certain to bring so much joy to your garden or allotment!  Dahlia ‘Pooh – Swan Island’ plants produce these vibrant, orange-red and yellow, open centred flowers.  The blooms have quite a painterly effect and are very attractive to bees and butterflies.  The plant as a whole is very attractive; this Dahlia’s green foliage compliments its flowers well and provides a lovely backdrop to the sunny blooms.

Plant Dahlia ‘Pooh – Swan Island’ in late springtime, in an open, sunny spot ,where your plant will be free to enjoy the sunshine.  Dahlias grow best in moist but well-drained soil, in sunny locations.  Avoid waterlogged sites.  If your soil tends to be wet in wintertime, lift your Dahlias in late autumn, when their foliage has become blackened by the first cold frosts.  Allow your tubers to dry out after lifting.  Store your tubers in a dry, frost free site – a shed, garage, or glasshouse is ideal.

Dahlia ‘Pooh – Swan Island’ grows to about 1m (3.2ft) tall.
