Lathyrus odoratus ‘Albutt Blue’

Family: Fabaceae

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Albutt Blue’ is a Modern Grandiflora Sweet Pea cultivar, which was bred by Harvey Albutt.  This sweet pea cultivar was first introduced in 1999.

A fragrant, hardy annual; plants produces pretty, white coloured flowers that are delicately highlighted with a fine mauve-blue coloured picotee edge.  Lathyrus odoratus ‘Albutt Blue’ combines well with a wide range of coloured flowers, suiting both modern and more traditional flower arrangements.  ‘Albutt Blue’ flowers are beautifully fragrant, making this a great sweet pea cultivar to grow if you wish to produce cut flowers for the home as well as to decorate your garden or allotment with pretty sweet pea flowers.

I have found Lathyrus odoratus ‘Albutt Blue’ to be a resilient and strong growing variety.  ‘Albutt Blue’ plants produce divinely fragrant flowers; this is a floriferous sweet pea – what more could you wish for?
