Lathyrus odoratus ‘Bramdean’

Family: Fabaceae

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Bramdean’ is a Modern Grandiflora Sweet Pea cultivar, which produces small, soft ivory white coloured flowers.  This is an easy to grow, hardy annual that can be grown from seed, sown in autumn, winter, or springtime, in the UK.

You will need to provide an obelisk, a hedge, fence, a frame, or another tall support, as Lathyrus odoratus ‘Bramdean’ plants will grow up to 2m (6.5ft) tall, depending of course, on your plant’s soil and growing conditions.  This sweet pea flourishes when grown in sunshine or partial shade, in any moist, but well-drained soil.

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Bramdean’ produces fragrant flowers, which have a delightfully sweet scent.
