Lathyrus odoratus ‘Juliet’

Family: Fabaceae

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Juliet’ is a Modern Grandiflora Sweet Pea cultivar, which produces ivory coloured flowers that feature a very delicate, subtle apricot flush over the flower’s petals.  This is a beautiful sweet pea cultivar that produces sweetly scented flowers.

Lathyrus odoratus ‘Juliet’ is a hardy, annual climber that’s easy to grow.  This sweet pea is very decorative.  Lathyrus odoratus ‘Juliet’ plants will provide a continual supply of cut flowers, providing the flowers are all picked at frequent, regular intervals.  It’s important to pick sweet pea blooms as often as you can.  Harvest your flowers every day if possible and at least as often as once a week.  Be thorough when picking your sweet peas.  If you allow your flowers to fade on the plant, your plants will begin producing seeds, rather than flowers.

Sow seeds of Lathyrus odoratus ‘Juliet’ in peat free compost, in autumn, winter, or springtime.  Plants grow to around 1.8m (6ft) tall.  They’ll need a wigwam, a trellis, fencing, or another support framework to climb.
