Family: Fabaceae
Lathyrus odoratus ’Susan Burgess’ is a sweet pea cultivar that produces large flowers in a beautiful, warm blush pink colour; the flowers enrich to salmon pink if grown under glass.
I enjoy growing this sweet pea. I find that the weather and temperature affect the colour of the flowers, with some paler, and other blooms a more vibrant shade of the same blush pink tone produced each year.
Lathyrus odoratus ‘Susan Burgess’ was raised by Andrew Beane, and introduced by Roger Parsons in 2015.
