Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’

Family: Polygonaceae

Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’ is a tough, hardy plant that thrives when grown in moist soil, in lovely partially shaded or sunny spot, in the garden.  A herbaceous perennial, Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’ flowers from May through until September.  Plants produce short spires of bottle brush shaped flower spikes, each jam packed full of a large number of tiny, soft pink coloured flowers.  Flower spikes grow up to 60cm (23 inches) tall.

Plant Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’ at the edge of a bog garden, around a pond, or in an area of your garden where the soil always remains moist and won’t dry out during the summer time.
