Phalaenopsis gibbosa

Family: Orchidaceae

Countries: Asia, China, Laos, Vietnam

Phalaenopsis gibbosa is a miniature, epiphytic orchid species, which originates from China, Vietnam, and Laos.  In the wild, this orchid species inhabits areas that stretch from sea level up to 1000m.  Phalaenopsis gibbosa uses trees as its host plant and can be found in both evergreen and broad-leaved forests.

I find that Phalaenopsis gibbosa is a tricky Phalaenopsis species to grow.  These orchids enjoy growing in warm to hot conditions, in a very humid environment.  Phalaenopsis gibbosa produces very small, pretty white flowers.
