Rosa ‘The Mill on the Floss’

Family: Rosaceae

Rosa ‘The Mill on the Floss’ (Austulliver) was bred by David Austin Roses.  This rose was introduced at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018.  David Austin Roses named this new rose after the novel of the same name, which was written by the famous female author Mary Anne Evans, who is known by her pen name of George Eliot.  The Mill on the Floss was first published in 1860.

Rosa ‘The Mill on the Floss’ produces exquisite blooms, which form bowl shaped, deeply cupped flowers in a soft pink tone, which are delightfully outlined with a deeper, raspberry pink picotee edging.  The flowers become somewhat paler as the blooms age and mature.

Rosa ‘The Mill on the Floss’ grows to 1.4m (4 ½ ft) tall and 1.3m (4 ft) wide.
