Rosa ‘Vanessa Bell’

Family: Rosaceae

Rosa ‘Vanessa Bell’ (Auseasel) is a shrub rose, an English Musk Hybrid Rose, one of the English Roses, which was bred by David Austin Roses, and named in honour of Vanessa Bell, an actress and artist, who was a founder member of the Bloomsbury Group.  Rosa ‘Vanessa Bell’ was launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017.

Rosa ‘Vanessa Bell’ produces softly coloured, lemon yellow, bowl shaped blooms, which have a charming luminosity and a delicacy, which could never be seen as brash.  This is a floriferous rose, which would be a super choice for you, if you enjoy spending time outside on summer evenings, as the light colour of this rose’s blooms is almost reflective, so it’s more visible than many other roses in the moonlight.

Rosa ‘Vanessa Bell’ grows to 4ft (1.2m) tall and 2.5ft (70cm) wide.  This rose is described as very floriferous, and is suited to a variety of different garden styles.
