Sedum takesimense ‘Atlantis’

Family: Crassulaceae

Sedum takesimense ‘Atlantis’ (‘Nonsitnal’) is a new Sedum that was launched to much acclaim, at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019.  This new Sedum was voted the winner of the prestigious RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year Competition!

Sedum takesimense ‘Atlantis’ is a striking looking plant.  With its vivid yellow flowers and variegated leaves this Sedum really stands out; it’s quite garish!  However, I must confess, I find this Sedum’s leaves quite mesmerising!

Sedum takesimense ‘Atlantis’ (‘Nonsitnal’) is hardy down to around -20C (-4F).  Just a tip – plants are more likely to survive if they’re kept in a sheltered spot, where the plant is protected from the worst of the winter weather.  You can really help your plants to survive the winter, if you protect your plants from the worst of the winter rain and snow, as plants that are growing in a continually damp or wet compost are much less likely to survive the winter.

Plant Sedum takesimense ‘Atlantis’ (‘Nonsitnal’) in free draining soil, or gritty, free draining, peat free compost.  For best results, choose a location where your plant can bask in full sunshine.
