Stelis viridula is a miniature, epiphytic orchid species, which originates from Ecuador.  In its natural environment, this diminutive little plant grows upon trees and other plants, in areas of mountainous forest.  Truly a miniature orchid, you’ll need a tripod and a macro setting on your camera to take a photograph of this tiny orchid’s flowers!

Stelis viridula is a cool growing orchid species.  This plant enjoys growing as an epiphyte; plants thrive when mounted onto a piece of cork bark.  Stelis viridula grows best in an area that receives soft filtered, diffused light.  These orchids require high humidity levels, therefore Stelis viridula need to be grown inside a terrarium, vivarium, orchidarium, or bottle garden, to  create and maintain a constantly humid environment.
