Tomato ‘Consuelo’

Family: Solanaceae

Tomato ‘Consuelo’ is a new tomato hybrid.  This new tomato variety produces lovely shiny, red cherry tomatoes, which are borne in trusses and ripen through the summer and early autumn.

‘Consuelo’ is an indeterminate or cordon tomato hybrid, which can be grown in a glasshouse or outdoors, in the UK, in summertime.  Plants can be grown outside once all risk of frost has passed; in the UK this varies from the middle of May until early June.

Tomato ‘Consuelo’ was bred by Simon Crawford, from Burpee Seeds.  If you’re interested in growing tomatoes, you’ll find more detailed articles about growing tomatoes (including my Tomato Trials), here.
