Inside the Floral Marquee at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2017, I met Jackie Currie, a passionate Allium expert and Garden Designer from Surrey. The RHS judges presented Jackie with a Silver-Gilt Medal, for her first ever exhibit at Hampton Court, which featured a selection of Alliums, from Jackie Currie’s National Collection of Alliums.Jackie Currie’s Allium exhibit, which was designed to showcase the beauty of the Allium, and to inform visitors of how to cultivate Allium species, cultivars, and hybrids, from this interesting genus.
The Royal Horticultural Society’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, supported by Viking Cruises, is the world’s largest annual flower show! This family orientated Show covers 34 acres of ground, occupying both sides of the Long Water, in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
This year Garden Designer Juliet Sargeant has designed the RHS Kitchen Garden, which has been created to showcase a number of innovative methods used to grow edible plants.
Here are some of the Gold Medal winning nurseries from The Royal Horticultural Society’s 2015 Hampton Court Palace Flower Show……….This is the Gold Medal winning display of Pelargoniums from Fibrex Nurseries Ltd at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2015. Established by Hazel and Dick Key some 46 years ago, Fibrex Nurseries are a family run nursery, they hold National Collections of Hedera and Pelargonium.

This year it was wonderful to see Dan Pearson back at Chelsea, his Laurent-Perrier Chatsworth Garden won a Gold Medal and the much coveted award of Best In Show from the Royal Horticultural Society Judges.
